Recreational Boat Capsizes at Chatfield Reservoir, Colorado

There was a deadly accident involving a vessel at Chatfield Reservoir, Colorado on August 22, 2021.  Reports indicate that ten people were on the vessel at the time it capsized at Chatfield State Park.  One passenger, a minor girl, was taken to a local hospital for treatment.  It is unclear at this time caused the vessel to capsize.

There have been a number of recent incidents involving vessels.  A fire broke out on the general cargo ship HAGLAND BORG on August 13, 2021.  A party boat on Lake Conroe, Texas capsized late on August 14, 2021.  There was a fire on board the fishing boat Baula X on August 17, 2021.  There was an explosion on board a vessel in Shelter Island, New York on August 20, 2021.  There was a deadly accident involving a recreational boat on Lake Lewisville, Texas on August 22, 2021.
