Recreational Boat Capsizes in Oregon – Two Dead

There was a deadly accident involving a recreational boat in Oregon on September 26, 2021.  At the time, the vessel was just outside the Umpqua River Bar.  Three people on board the vessel were rescued by Coasut Guard personnel.  Tragically, two people were trapped in the vessel’s cabin and were killed.

There have been a number of recent incidents involving vessels.  There was a fire on the product tanker SAMUS SWAN on September 11, 2021.  There was a deadly boating accident in Lee County, Alabama on September 13, 2021.  A fire broke out on the ro-ro cargo ship ATLANTIC PROVIDER on September 15, 2021.  A fire broke out on the container ship LUEBECK on September 16, 2021.  The bulk carrier XIN HAI ZHOU 26 struck a fishing vessel on September 22, 2021.  The ro-ro passenger ferry LCT LITE FERRY 3 capsized on September 24, 2021.  Three crew members were killed in a deadly explosion on the tanker HUA HONG 18 on September 25, 2021.  There was a deadly carbon dioxide leak on board the car carrier SANG SHIN on September 27, 2021.
