MD-87 Plane Crashes West of Houston, Texas

There was a plane crash in Waller County, Texas on October 19, 2021.  The plane, a McDonnell Douglas MD-87 jet, was attempting to take off from the Houston Executive Airport heading to Boston.  At the time there were 21 people on board.  Reports indicate the plane crashed into a field near the airport while attempting to take off, before catching fire.  Multiple injuries were reported, with some passengers being transported to a local hospital for treatment.  The plane is registered to J. Alan Kent and Houston-based Flair Builders.
