There was a helicopter crash in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana on December 14, 2021. The helicopter, a Bell 407, crashed into Interstate 10 at the Bonnet Carre Spillway Bridge. The accident resulted in the closure of I-10 Eastbound for a number of hours. The pilot, the only person on board, has been pronounced dead. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
