by | Mar 7, 2022 | Industrial Accident, Wrongful Death

There was an explosion at the U.S. Magnesium plant in Grantsville, Utah on March 5, 2022.  According to reports, a worker was killed when a boiler at the facility exploded.  The victim was either working inside or near the boiler when this occurred.  The cause of the explosion remains under investigation.

There have been a number of incidents at industrial and chemical plants.  There was a fire at the Nutrien Ag Solutions fertilizer plant in Sunnyside, Washington on February 28, 2022.  There was an explosion at the Shearer’s Foods processing plant in Hermiston, Oregon on February 22, 2022.  There was a large explosion at the Marathon Petroleum Corporation refinery in Garyville, Louisiana on February 21, 2022.

Plants can pose significant dangers both to workers and to the general public.  When dangerous work is involved, extra precautions must be taken, especially when catastrophic fires or explosions can occur.
