There was a helicopter crash in Rowlett, Texas on March 25, 2022. The helicopter crashed in an open lot in the 2200 block of Lakeview Parkway before bursting into flames. The pilot is believed to have been the only one aboard at the time. According to reports, the helicopter was hovering when the tail rotor broke off the helicopter. The helicopter is operated by Texas-based Sky Helicopters. The accident remains under investigation.
