Deadly Boating Accident in Hart County, Georgia

There was a deadly recreational boating accident on May 22, 2022 in Hart County, Georgia.  During the incident, two boats collided near Carter’s Ferry Boat Ramp of Lake Hartwell on Sunday afternoon.  Lake Hartwell is a man-made reservoir that sits on the state line between Georgia and South Carolina.  One of the boats had only one individual on it, and the second had six occupants.  The victim has been identified as the solo operator of one the boat: Eric David Beasley.  Two people on board the second boat sustained injuries.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to those impacted by this tragic accident.  The accident remains under investigation by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
