There was a small plane crash in Crittenden County, Arkansas near the Mississippi River on May 31, 2022. According to reports, the single-engine Cessna 162 plane crashed in a farm field near Dacus Lake. The plane had taken off from DeWitt-Spain Airport in Memphis, Tennessee. The pilot, the only person on board was killed in the crash. The victim has been identified as Malcolm “Jay” King. The accident remains under investigation.
