There was a small plane crash on Lake Hood, Alaska on July 26, 2022. According to reports, a de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver float plane crashed while attempting to take off from Lake Hood. While taking off, a strong crosswind caught the plane, lifting one of its wings and resulting in the crash. The plane is operated by Regal Air. All seven people on board the charter flight were taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
