Fire on Cargo Ship NOVA

There was a fire on board the cargo ship NOVA on July 26, 2022.  At the time, the cargo vessel was berthed at Eemshaven, Netherlands.  The fire is believed to have broken out in the cargo hold which was filled with wind turbine parts.  It is unclear if anyone was injured in the efforts to extinguish the fire.

There have been a number of recent incidents involving vessels.  There was a collision between two boats near Angel Island in San Francisco, California on June 30, 2022.  A recreational boat caught fire in Lake Texoma, Oklahoma on July 2, 2022.  A fire broke out on the oil tanker ADVANTAGE SUMMER on July 17, 2022.  A pilot was killed during a boarding accident involving the product tanker ALHENA on July 18, 2022.  A fire broke out on a small boat on Lake Lanier in Georgia on July 24, 2022.  There was an explosion on the tug boat BLUE DRAGON on July 23, 2022.
