de Havilland DHC-3 Otter Plane Crash near Whidbey Island, Washington

There was a plane crash near Whidbey Island, Washington on September 4, 2022.  According to reports, a single-engine de Havilland DHC-3 Otter float plane crashed in Mutiny Bay with ten people on board.  The plane was en route from Friday Harbor to Renton Municipal Airport.  One body has been recovered and the other nine remain missing.  The missing passengers are also believed to have perished in the crash.  The flight was operated by Friday Harbor Seaplanes.  The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
