There was a helicopter crash in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Louisiana on December 29, 2022. According to reports, a helicopter with four people on board crashed into the water after leaving an offshore platform to return to shore. According to the Coast Guard, the helicopter crashed about ten miles off the coast of Plaquemines Parish. The Coast Guard is conducting search and rescue operations at this time.
