A Hawaiian Airlines flight experienced heavy turbulence on December 18, 2022. The plane, an Airbus A330, was en route from Phoenix, Arizona to Honolulu. About 30 minutes before landing the plane experienced turbulence, resulting in at least 36 on board sustaining injuries. The plane was able to safely land in Honolulu, where many injured passengers were taken to hospitals for medical treatment.
