There was a small plane crash in Sidney, New York on June 30, 2024. The plane, a single-engine Piper PA-46, crashed with five people on board. The plane had taken off earlier from Albert S. Nader Regional Airport in Oneonta, New York. Eyewitnesses reported the plane appeared to be in distress prior to the crash. All five people on board appear to have been killed as a result of the crash. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those impacted by this deadly crash.
