There was an explosion at the Freeport LNG facility in Freeport, Texas on June 8, 2022. The explosion occurred at Freeport LNG’s facility located on Quintana Island. The plant is an oil and gas export facility. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation. According to reports, Quintana residents are currently being evacuated.
