Boat Fire in Tampa Bay, Florida

There was a boat fire in Tampa Bay, Florida on December 5, 2022.  At the time, the vessel was located near Pinellas Point.  The Coast Guard and St. Petersburg Fire Department both responded to the fire.  The cause of the fire has not yet been released.

There have been a number of recent incidents involving vessels.  There was a fire on the chemical tanker vessel ATLANTIC LILY on November 18, 2022.  On November 18, 2022, Seacor Marine evacuated the Lift Boat Robert.  A crew member’s hand was amputated on the LADY OF LUCK on November 26, 2022.  There was a fire on board the fishing trawler SUNFISH on November 27, 2022.  The shrimp boat CAPTAIN ALEX sunk on November 25, 2022.  The jack-up rig LIFTBOAT DANIELA sunk on November 30, 2022.  There was a deadly incident on the VIKING POLARIS cruise ship on November 29, 2022.  A worker was killed at Fraser Shipyards in Superior, Wisconsin on December 5, 2022.
