Boat Capsized near Florida Keys – Three Rescued

A recreational boat capsized near the Florida Keys on February 18, 2023.  At the time, the boat was located nine miles north of Fleming Key.  After capsizing, the boaters were rescued by the Coast Guard.

There have been a number of recent incidents involving vessels.  There was an explosion on board the bulk carrier ORIENTAL GLORY on February 2, 2023.  There was a fire on board the car carrier AH SHIN on February 3, 2023.  Six crew members were killed while cleaning a tank on the the tanker ship HALIMA on February 4, 2023.  The Coast Guard medevaced the injured captain from the bulk carrier PERIDOT on February 6, 2023.  A small recreational boat capsized in Michigan on February 12, 2023.  A recreational boat capsized near Laguna Vista, Texas on February 15, 2023.
