Recreational Boat Capsizes on Lake Havasu

A recreational boat capsized on Lake Havasu on April 21, 2023.  At the time, the boat was in the North Basin when it lost control and capsized with multiple people on board.   All three of the adult passengers were ejected from the boat.  A nearby samaritan vessel was able to rescue the boaters.  Two of the passengers were taken to Havasu Regional Medical Center.  Additional details have not yet been released.

There have been a number of recent incidents involving vessels.  A fire broke out on an offshore oil platform in a field off the coast of Trinidad on April 10, 2023.  A passenger fell from her balcony on the cruise ship VALIANT LADY on April 2, 2023.  On April 10, 2023, the product tanker SUCCESS 9 was boarded by pirates.  A fire broke out on the tanker vessel TIGER SEA on April 17, 2023.  The container ship MONA LISA struck multiple gantry cranes while in port on April 20, 2023.  There was a fire on board the fishing vessel KALTAN on April 21, 2023.
